Early this morning I took a call that reminded me that the world right now is complete shit. And then I descended into the Pearl Theatre for the fifth time in three days to find a little bit of solace in professional wrestling.
I beamed as Jamie Senegal showcased the most relatable gimmick: hungover and nursing a giant coffee.
I had a lump in my throat as Kidd Bandit couldn’t believe she forced The Frontman to need a rope break.
And there aren’t words for how Effy and Dark Sheik ended the show.
Every Big Gay Brunch could be the last. But it’s a really special event, and I feel blessed to have been at this one. Maybe not everything is terrible.
