Produce Vol. 5 - Skoden
October 13, 2026 • Roulette Intermedium • Brooklyn, NY
Show #88

It was back to Roulette for the first time since late 2024 for the latest chapter of Produce, a 14-match sprint on a Monday night. Coinciding with Indigenous Peoples Day, the card was stacked with indigenous talent, drawing a few justified "F*** CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS" chants.

Roulette remains an odd venue: the geometry of the floor means the stage is right up against the side of the ring, and the guardrails on the other three sides (mandated by the NY State Athletic Commission) are tight enough that there's not much of a chance for action to spill elsewhere. Yet the crowd is always pretty vocal and the room gets louder than most. In the words of Lio Rush: it's fine!

The show maintained a good average, but the high spots from last night:

  • Jonathan Gresham vs. "Blackheart" Lio Rush
  • Warhorse vs. Dante Chen
  • Dark Sheik vs. Corinne Joy
  • Nyla Rose vs. Nashoba Naira
  • Oni King vs. Drilla Maloney
  • The eight-man main event

Two odd anecdotes book-ending the show:

  • Right after his opening match with Lio, Jonathan Gresham walked around my side of the ring; he dead-stopped to point at my chest and offer "HEY. Nice shirt!" Thanks (as always?) to Chris Brookes for making sure I look as cool as possible at every show.
  • And right after the main event, as I got to my feet to applaud and snap a few final pictures, I hear "OKAY, OKAY, SIT DOWN!" coming from my left; it was Bryan Keith giving me shit. We exchanged a very friendly (almost too familiar?) high five.
