Natsupoi and Johnnie Robbie share a boop of respect after their match.

Pandemonium Pro's "Whatever, Forever"
April 15 • Bizarre Bar • Las Vegas, NV
Show #70

Show notes:

  • I had opted for Pandemonium Pro as my first show off the strength of their card last year, and a lot of wild talent announcements that came early in the run up to April. A lot of names that I hadn't seen live before, and while the talent I had wanted to see got swapped out, other talent I wanted to see got swapped in. Kind of an embarrassment of riches.
  • The setup at Bizarre Bar was the "loosest" of the week, and I say this having attended a show set up in the back of a brewery. No assigned seating, really terrible entrance line management, front row two feet from the ring, ring under a foot off the floor...it was a lot!
  • Relatedly, this was the show I felt the most in danger for in a week with two full blown death matches. I watched a photographer right in front of me get his lens kicked on a spot, he tried valiantly for a minute to get it working again, and then had to retreat backstage for further repairs.
  • I appreciated the East Coast/West Coast trios rivalry as one of the few East Coast people in the audience. J Boujii drew some solid heat off a very West Coast crowd.
  • Other matches I remember fondly (without watching it back): Johnnie Robbie vs Natsupoi, Amira vs. Janai Kai vs. Saya Iida.
  • The whole show is freely available on YouTube, which is nice.
  • I hung around after to meet Alexis Lee, who has built a nice quiet following online from working the Asian circuit. She is truly America's Favorite Skelly™.
  • Thanks to Discord buddy AlwaysBeClothing for snagging my picture with Skelly, as well getting me high fiving Saya during her entrance.
