Spring Break X
Game Changer Wrestling / Joey Janela's Spring Break X
April 17 • The Horseshoe • Las Vegas, NV
Show #76
I'm only finally getting some of these posts up more than a month after Vegas, and after this many shows, they kind of blur together.
But I remember my third Spring Break show vividly, even before I pull the photos for this.

I remember Vengador's springboard during the opener somehow snapping a turnbuckle, forcing the back half of the match to be improvised with two ropes, and Man Like DeReiss hitting a wild 450 splash off that second rope.

I remember a solid enough trios match with the Rascalz and Price, Oliver, and Mathers - but that it was tough to follow the opening scramble.

I would remember Atticus Cogar just missing a chair bridge spot even without four perfect pictures in sequence.

I remember a very solid tag team reunion of Jurassic Express. In February, I made a point of dapping up KJ Orso for killing it all J-Cup weekend; the man is truly a generational heel, and he made this match sizzle.
I remember Emil Jay getting the biggest pop of the weekend.

I remember the absolute cinema of Sandman's retirement match against The Invisible Man: the zombies, the juggalos, inexplicable Richard Holiday and Early Morning Guy Steele, the porn star valet turn, endless referees, Invisible Stan, and Mick Foley's music hitting, where I fully lost my mind.

I won't ever forget Allie vs. Effy; years of investment in their dynamic, and being front row for that injury at Hammerstein meant I didn't mind whatever crimes that Cagematch has panned the match with.

I was glad to see Mancer, and SDL, and Megan, and what felt like the natural surprise partner in Nick Gage. I'm never going to be upset to hear the start of For Whom The Bell Tolls.

And like practically everyone: I thought Brodie Lee Jr. looked stellar, in large part because Joey gave so much. No one could ask for a better start to their career.
